Vance is a truly gifted vocalist who leads our congregation in
worship,  directs the choir, and organizes vocal groups throughout
the church.  He has served Christ as an evangelist and church
worker all his life.

Born in Princeton, Indiana, Vance is the youngest of 4 children of
a musical family. After moving to Texas at the age of six, Vance
sang with his siblings and quickly acquired the ability of performing
live. While in college, he toured the American Northwest with a
choral group comprised of outstanding young vocalists from all
across the U.S.

In 1972, he married Donna Horton, daughter of Bro. Gene and
Phynetta, and the two of them set out touring all over America,
mostly in churches, campgrounds, and auditoriums.  Vance continues
to entertain in retirement and R.V. resorts in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas
during the winter seasons. His wide variety of musical styles that include playing
the guitar and piano have endeared him to the hearts of young and old alike.

Vance's family is his first love. Donna, his beautiful wife of over 37 years, their son Steven and his wife Daisy, grandchildren Daniel, Nathan, and Joshua, and his beautiful and musically talented daughter, Gina, bring great joy to his life and are the source of much of his inspiration.  The family has recently welcomed Luke Funderburg into their family as Gina's husband.
