National Day of Prayer 2011 was coordinated by Joyce Akin and was held the first Thursday of May. Approximately 200 people attended the service which took place at the Iwo Jima Memorial. The theme for the service was "A Mighty Fortress is Our God". Musicians, pastors, and other volunteers quickly stepped into place to help make the event possible, and the women from her prayer group. Joyce is looking forward to another great even next year!
